~Secondary School - SMJK KWANG HUA~

School Logo - SMJK Kwang Hua

Let me introduce myself :) I'm Shu Wen and I'm from Klang, Selangor. I pursue my secondary study in SMJK Kwang Hua, Klang and is one of the famous school in Klang. This school has 5 blocks of buiding, one multi-purpose bulding, one ICT block, a newly renoated hall and many more. And also, the food in the canteen is nice and cheap. Secondary school is a place where I start to learn to be independent and of course have fun with friends and memories were made.

My school has a lot of co-curricular activities and is so much fun than you think! St. John Ambulance, Boy Scouts, Girl Guide, Crime Prevention Club, Drama Music Club, Petanq Society, Athletic Society, Gymnastic Society, Taekwondo Society and others. St. John Ambulance in our school participate actively in competition and always win a full hand of prizes. Other clubs also participate in any event and competition and the members are trained well. This is one of the thing I'm proud of my school.

Taekwondo Club

In year 2015, a group Form 4 students, Team Titans have participated in The Star, NiE contest and won the first prize. The contest was titled We Are Malaysia.  It is a proud occasion to all 'Kwanghuarians'. They hope their message on unity speaks to everyone. As the first prize winner, they have won a five-day study trip in United Kingdom.

Team member Milcah said, “Like how we tie our shoelaces – if we don’t tie our shoelaces properly, we risk tripping and falling. We hope our message on unity speaks to everyone.”

~Soulmate - Friends for life~

As the saying goes no man is an island, one can't live without friends. I do have many friends and they are the reason I smile everyday. One of my best friend a.k.a. best ballet partner had started her studies in Taiwan. It's quite sad that she can't dance with me and the ballet class become boring. But yet, we still can communicate thru apps like Whatsapp. Even though it is hard for us to meet but we are still best friend and we share all the feelings and emotion and support each other just like siblings.

Me & Her

I would say that my 2016 classmates are my best friends for life. We are like a big family and give support and help to each other. That year is the most interesting year in my life because we meet each other everyday, study and play. We doesn't know we are making memories, we just know we are having fun. I'm glad to become a member of this big family. We always organize a gathering from time to time after graduated from secondary school. Every time we meet there will be no awkward situation but is covered with warmth atmosphere. Without them, my secondary school life isn't complete.

~FOOD HUNT in Klang~

I would say that my hometown is a food paradise for everyone. The moment you heard about Klang, the first food that come into your mind will be definitely Bak Kut Teh!! But Bak Kut Teh is just one of the famous food in Klang. Let me introduce more tasty and scrumptious food that is a must try when you pay a visit to Klang.

Bak Kut Teh
The dish consists of pork ribs stewed with a mixture of fragrant herbs and spices such as garlic, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, fennel seeds and coriander. Referring to the main ingredient in the dish, bak kut teh (Hokkien) and rou gu cha (Mandarin) translate literally to “meat bone tea”. Basically Bak Kut Teh can be found all over in Klang. I would say that Klang is the best town to taste it. Bak Kut Teh may seem like a simple dish with only pork and herbs, but it comes in many forms. It could be strong and intense, or light and soupy; it could come in a humble bowl with only pork, or it could come in a claypot of goodies. Do not hesitate, just come and try.

Nestum Prawn
If you want to eat at this restaurant, all you need is PATIENCE because it takes hours to get a seat. But don't be angry, the food over there is the best. The food that I recommend is Lala with superior soup, Hokkien Mee, Moonlight Kuey Teow, Nestum Prawn, and many others more. These foods will make you feel like eating again because it tastes like heaven.

Chong Kok Kopitiam

Chong Kok Kopitiam is an extremely popular breakfast spot in Klang. Every morning, Malaysians of all races would gather here for a plate of nasi lemak or toast before going on with their day. They serve the best kaya toast- roti bakar, nasi lemak and coffee. The Chong Kok's coffee is incredibly rich, smooth and aromatic for a local coffee.
